Expo 2020 Dubai chiefs close entry portals for the last time
The surreal entry portals of exposition 2020 Dubai opened 182 times over the past six months.
And within the early hours of Thursday, March 31, the portals closed for the last time, having recorded twenty four million visits and welcomethe most important gathering on the world since the Covid-19 pandemic hit.
To celebrate the event, thousands of holiday makers headed towards the large gates, with their phones control high within the air to capture the historic moment. Darkness descended for a number of seconds before a blindingtraffic signallighted the portals.
A video on Expo’s official web site shows a team of officers, LED by Reem Al Hashimy, UAE Minister of State for International Cooperation and Director-General of exposition 2020 Dubai, walk towards the gates. Al Hashimy stands within the centre because the gates area unitforce shut on either facet.
In a statement onceexpositionproclaimed that it had recorded twenty four million visits, Al Hashimy said: “From the start of this unimaginableexposition journey, our country’s leadership secureANexpositionthat will amaze the planet.
